Buying from a China CNC machine manufacturer requires two parallel checks. The first is technical: can the proposed machine make the part under the agreed conditions? The second is commercial and operational: is the company you contract with able to deliver, document, commission and support that exact configuration? Treating either check as a substitute for the other leaves a gap.
Confirm the contracting party
Match the legal company name across the quotation, bank details, invoice and export documents. Ask whether the seller is the factory, an affiliated export company or an independent trader, then record how warranty obligations pass between them. A website brand may be legitimate while still differing from the legal exporter; the issue is undisclosed responsibility, not the use of a trading entity itself.
Run one application test before discussing the full order
Choose a representative part with enough difficulty to expose tool access, fixture, spindle and inspection decisions. Ask for a written process concept and a marked list of assumptions. If the answer cannot explain the difficult features, more catalogue pages will not solve the problem. For a custom or high-risk process, a sample cut or witnessed test can be specified after both sides agree on material, tools and measurement.
A remote audit can still be evidence-based
- Request a live, continuous walk-through that starts at the company entrance and follows material, assembly, inspection and finished machines.
- Choose serial numbers or inspection records during the call instead of accepting only preselected documents.
- Ask the engineer who prepared the proposal to join and explain one configuration decision.
- Verify that the name on test reports and manuals matches the party responsible for delivery.
A third-party inspection may be useful when travel is impractical, but its scope should be written. “Factory inspection” can mean anything from counting crates to witnessing geometry tests.
Control the handover
| Stage | Buyer approval | Record to retain |
|---|---|---|
| Before build release | Final machine and option specification | Signed technical agreement and deviation list |
| Before shipment | Factory acceptance and packing plan | Test reports, photographs and open-item log |
| Before installation | Foundation, lifting and utilities readiness | Site checklist and responsibility matrix |
| After commissioning | Site acceptance and training completion | Backups, manuals, certificates and signed results |
Keep the final decision part-specific
Country-level assumptions cannot prove or disprove a machine. Use the company records to establish accountability and the application evidence to establish fit. CNC Tech is based in Foshan and presents its company information and machine range online. A final proposal should still be checked against your drawing, plant and acceptance requirements.
